Gabino and his humans

This is my latest painting I just completed yesterday. This is a charcoal/pastel portrait I created using photos I selected from the clients' facebook photo albums. The clients wanted a portrait of their cat Gabino, and to personalize it, I added a photograph rendition of a pic of the clients to the portrait. I added blue and purple colors to the cat's black fur to enhance the dimensional effect, making it seem the cat look almost real, like it is about to stand up and walk off the paper.
The clients were very jazzed at how it looked.

A Woman and her Dog

A new painting I completed in July. Here I am beginning to experiment with adding more dimensional detail to enhance the effects, making it look more realistic.
This was a commission from a client who wanted to give it to a friend for her birthday. The dog in the painting sadly is no longer with her friend. When her friend received the painting, I was told that the woman loved the painting, then she cried. She then requested that she wanted another painting for her next birthday.
